Hello Hellyer Families:

Congratulations once again to our sixth-grade students who were promoted to middle school on June 16th! I would also like to thank all students, families, and staff for making this year successful as our students have demonstrated tremendous personal and collective growth. We can’t wait to see you back on campus on August 14th.

The end of this school year is especially moving as we bid farewell to not only our sixth-grade students, but also some members of our instructional Hellyer Family: Jamie Burrell (Kindergarten Instructor), and Karen Orozco (Student Support Specialist). Thank you for your dedication and hard work. Though each of you will be missed, we would like to wish you each much success and joy.

Here is some other important information about the start of the new school year:

• If your child was at Hellyer this year, they are already enrolled for 2023-24
• If you are moving school, please notify our office - 408-363-5750
• Please remember that California and Santa Clara County require children to have specific, current immunizations before the start of school. If you have questions, please call our school office. 
• Class rosters for 2023-2024 will be posted outside our front office on August 8th after 12:00 pm

We encourage all students to continue reading and learning during the summer! Digital applications like Lexia and ST Math will remain available throughout the summer. Students can also take advantage of the Summer Reading Challenge to receive free books and other prizes through the San Jose Public Library. ¡Felicitaciones una vez más a nuestros estudiantes de sexto grado que fueron promovidos a la escuela intermedia el 16 de junio! También me gustaría agradecer a todos los estudiantes, familias y personal por hacer que este año sea exitoso ya que nuestros estudiantes han demostrado un tremendo crecimiento personal y colectivo. Estamos ansiosos por verlos de regreso el 14 de agosto.

Estén atentos para obtener información sobre eventos sociales de verano y oportunidades de voluntariado para el próximo año escolar.

El final de este año escolar es especialmente conmovedor, ya que nos despedimos no solo de nuestros estudiantes de sexto grado, sino también de algunos miembros de nuestra familia educativa Hellyer: Jamie Burrell (instructora de jardín de kindergarten) y Karen Orozco (especialista en apoyo estudiantil). Gracias por su dedicación y arduo trabajo. Aunque cada uno de ustedes será extrañado, nos gustaría desearles mucho éxito y alegría.

Một lần nữa xin Chúc mừng các học sinh lớp sáu của chúng ta đã được lên cấp hai vào ngày 16 tháng 6! Tôi cũng xin cảm ơn tất cả các học sinh, gia đình và nhân viên đã làm cho năm học này thành công cho các học sinh của chúng ta bằng cách thể hiện sự phát triển to lớn của cá nhân và tập thể.   Chúng tôi rất nóng lòng được gặp lại các em trong khuôn viên trường vào ngày 14 tháng 8.  

 Hãy theo dõi thông tin về các hoạt động xã hội mùa hè và các cơ hội thiện nguyện cho năm học sắp tới.

Cuối năm học này đặc biệt xúc động khi chúng tôi chia tay không chỉ các học sinh lớp Sáu mà còn một số thành viên trong Gia đình giảng dạy trường Hellyer của chúng tôi: Jamie Burrell (Giáo viên mẫu giáo) và Karen Orozco (Chuyên gia hỗ trợ học sinh). Cảm ơn các cô đã cống hiến và làm việc tận tụy. Mặc dù mỗi người trong số các bạn sẽ vắng mặt, nhưng chúng tôi xin chúc quý vị nhiều thành công và nhiều niềm vui.
